EJ Scott interviews Michael McMillian

Next to Alexander Skarsgard, Michael McMillian is one of my favorites among the True Blood cast thanks to his side line work of writing the True Blood comics. E.J. Scott, the boyfriend of Deborah Ann Woll (Jessica on True Blood) conducted an interview with McMillz, talking about his childhood, going to school at the Interlochen fine arts boarding school in Michigan (not too far from where I grew up), mental illness and depression, what he thinks about former goworker Amanda Bynes, his friendship with Alexander Skarsgard, and his plans for future comics.  You can hear the interview here.

Walking With the Wounded teams reach the South Pole!

Good news from the Walking With the Wounded teams as they reached the South Pole after their long slog across rough terrain for the past several days.  Congratulations to the teams who managed to make such a difficult journey despite severe weather and at great risk to themselves.

Before the reached their destination, Alexander Skarsgard took the time to file an audio  report on their last few kilometers.  He sounded tired and cold to me, but proud of their accomplishment.  And he tells his family that he plans to see them for Christmas shortly.  Talk about a happy holiday!

Antarctic book porn

We should have known that Alexander Skarsgard would take a book while hiking in Antarctica.  For those who are interested, the book is Hermann Hesse’s Steppenwolf.  You can read more about the novel here.

Samuel L. Jackson in talks for “Tarzan”

Variety is reporting that Samuel L. Jackson is in talks to play a role in the “Tarzan” reboot that Alexander Skarsgard is slated to star in.  Jackson had previously been considered for a role in the movie, but scheduling conflicts had made it difficult for him to participate.  However, the delay in production prep is now paying off in making Jackson available again.  The movie is scheduled to star Skarsgard in the title role with David Yates (Harry Potter film adaptations) to direct.  The pivotal role of Jane has not been cast, although Variety is reporting that “Wolf of Wall Street” actress Margot Robbie is a front-runner.
