TRUE BLOOD, Episode #601, “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood”

Writer: Raelle Tucker

Director: Stephen Moyer

[AUTHORITY GUARD #1] This armed and fanged Authority guard vamps into the AHO Control Room and sees something he can’t believe…CO-STAR

[OFFICER HARTZELL, OFFICER RUSCIO] MALE, 30S – 40S. These two gruff looking Caddo Parish sheriff deputies politely come to Sam’s house…CO-STAR SUBMIT ALL ETHNICITIES

My thoughts: Ra-Ra-Raelle!  One of my favorite TB writers!  She is the one who brought us episodes such as “I Wish I was the Moon,””Whatever I Am, You Made Me,” and “Everybody Wants to Rule the World.” She writes good Sooric when it is the story arc for her to do so.  I also love the idea that Stephen Moyer is directing again.  I thought he did a great job last season with “Somebody that I Used to Know,” and it is also a teeny piece of support to a theory I have about his future role on True Blood.  While season 5 ended with us thinking that season 6 would feature Bill as the Big Bad of the season, it seems to me from the spoilers that are trickling out that the focus may be on other characters as the primary threat to Sookie this season.  If that is the case, then how is the Billith situation going to resolve?  I’ve wondered if they might be daring and have Billith defeated early on — and not redeem Bill, but let his submersion into Billith be his character’s tragic end.  And if so, what do you with one of your senior cast members if his character is going to be gone? You add him to the regular directing stable.  Just a theory at this point, of course.

  1. Love your theory, but AB had such a mancrush on SM/BC that he refused to allow Bill the character arc that the books took –so we may still see a lot of Billy Boy this season. Now whether S6 will allow growth between the Sookie and Eric characters will remain to be seen.
