New episode descriptions for 5.9 and 5.10 *spoilers*

More details episode description for 5.9, Everyone Wants to Rule the World, and 5.10, Gone, Gone, Gone.

Episode #57: “Everybody Wants to Rule the World”
Debut: SUNDAY, AUG. 5 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET)

As the Authority proceeds with Lilith’s plan, Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) plots his escape. Gran (Lois Smith) directs Sookie (Anna Paquin) to a clue to her parents’ murderer. Andy (Chris Bauer) and Jason (Ryan Kwanten) search for leads to the identities of the people behind the shifter killings. Alcide (Joe Manganiello) recalls his pack induction; Arlene (Carrie Preston) gets caught in Terry (Todd Lowe) and Patrick’s (Scott Foley) crossfire; Steve (Michael McMillian) gets a new pet.
Written by Raelle Tucker; directed by Dan Attias.

My thoughts: So, if Eric doesn’t see Lilith, does she really exist? And if she doesn’t exist, how can she have a plan? Sounds as if they figure out pretty quickly that Eric is not one of the faithful.  If Gran leads Sookie to a clue that points to Bill as her parents’ murderer, I might eventually warm up to her again.  (I’ve been cool about her since the Marnie channeling incident.)  Wonder who Steve Newlin’s new pet could be? Oooooh, what if it is Hoyt, trying to get close enough to kill him? Just wild guessing there.

Episode #58: “Gone, Gone, Gone”
Debut: SUNDAY, AUG. 12 (9:00-10:00 p.m.)

With vampire-on-human attacks increasing, the Authority attempts to woo public favor. Meanwhile, Nora (Lucy Griffiths) tries to convert Eric to Lilith’s gospel. Jason finds a mysterious scroll; Elijah (Keram Malicki-Sanchez), the new vampire sheriff of Area 5, pushes Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) and Tara (Rutina Wesley) to obey a new mandate; Sam (Sam Trammell) and Luna (Janina Gavankar) search for Emma (Chloe Noelle); Russell (Denis O’Hare) seeks a higher calling.
Written by Alexander Woo; directed by Scott Winant.

My thoughts: The early version of this description said that Bill puts the spin on the vampire attacks, so Bill must be drinking the blood Koolaid and trying to justify what is happening.  Eric being replaced as Sheriff of Area 5? WTF!!!??? Okay, logically that makes sense if he is not on the side of the current administration, but wow, that’s shaking things up in a big way.  I wonder what the new sheriff’s mandate will be for Pam and Tara? Something that will make Tara realize Eric was never as bad as she thought from the outside? I’m wondering if the political changes will carry on into season 6. I can’t see the Sanguinistas being defeated right away, I can’t see Eric going over to that side, and I can’t see them putting him back on his Fangtasia throne unless he does.

  1. hell, no! eric replaced as sheriff? they could put matt bomer in his place and it still wouldn’t make things right. he hadn’t been on his throne in like forever, the only time he sat there was when he was waiting for pam. things need to get back in its place presto! if they are going to divert from the books completely, at least make it more acceptable. ugh!
