True Blood acid trip? *spoilers*

From Keck’s Exclusives at TV Guide:

Denis O’Hare (Russell Edgington): “In Episode 7, we have a really freaky scene where you see vampires behaving in ways they don’t normally behave. It leads into Episode 8, which Stephen Moyer [Bill] directed. It’s an acid trip in the Vampire Authority world that Stephen’s responsible for creating. It is creepy, trippy, funny, bizarre, beautiful and mind-boggling.”

And as a reminder of the descriptions of episodes 7 and 8:

– Episode #55 (5.07): “In the Beginning”: Salome reveals her true allegiances; Sookie embraces her human side; Sam sniffs out some perps; Alcide braces for a fight. (Written by Brian Buckner; directed by Michael Ruscio.)

– Episode #56 (5.08): “Somebody That I Used to Know”: The Authority revels in a new direction; Sookie and Jason visit the site of their parents’ deaths; Luna gets stuck on Sam. (Written by Mark Hudis; directed by Stephen Moyer.)

My thoughts: So now that we know Nora thinks that mainstreaming has gone too far, I would guess that her close friend Salome is behind some kind of coup.  I’m guessing that the Authority “revel”ing in a new direction is punny.

BTW, I have fallen in love with the song Somebody That I Used to Know, which I suspect has to be what they will be using in episode 8.  I like the Walk Off the Earth version best. Video available here.  This is a song that cries out for a really good Sooric fanvid.
